A County Kildare vehicle inspection company has proposed the demolition and replacement of a building located in an industrial estate.

D & M Truck Engineering Limited is seeking planning permission from Kildare County Council to make the changes to its premises located inside Kilcullen Industrial Estate.

This estate is located on the Naas Road in Kilcullen.

According to the description of the application, the business intends to demolish "the existing 'Workshop Building' previously approved under 87 / 525 and 20 / 757".

In addition, D & M Engineering Ltd is also seeking permission for: "a replacement building, which would be used as a 'Commercial Vehicle Test Centre'; signage to the front (north) elevation and rear (south) elevation; surface car parking spaces, including four electric vehicle charging points; a covered bicycle parking bay; and all associated site works".

The date received on the application is listed as August 6 last, while the submission-by and due dates are listed as September 9, 2025 and September 30, 2025 respectively.

The business information website SoloCheck.ie shows that D & M Engineering Ltd was established in September of 1983.

It has a registered address listed as Green Avenue, Newlands, Naas, but according to its official website, it operates out of its site in Kilcullen Industrial Estate.
