Lengths of copper, in addition to other items, were stolen from a County Kildare site.
The incident was detailed by Garda Orlaith Fahy when she appeared on a KFM radio programme yesterday morning (July 30 last).
She told host Eoin Beatty that the perpetrator(s) targeted a site located in Cut Bush, The Curragh, sometime between 5pm on Wednesday, July 23 last and 7.30am on Thursday, July 24 last.
According to Gda Fahy, items which were stolen include: 20 lengths of copper (measuring at six metres each); three boxes of brass fittings; two petrol cans; a dud battery; and a transformer. The battery and transformer were later found nearby.
She concluded by urging anyone with information about this crime to contact Newbridge Garda Station on 045 431 212.
