Kildare Wildlife Rescue (KWR) will host two nature journalling workshops next month.

Explaining the nature (no pun intended) of the two events, KWR said: "Nature journalling is a great way to get into nature and notice it through writing, sketching and other creative avenues.

"Kids will be given the opportunity to create their own nature journal and explore natural materials provided; the journal is a takeaway when they go home and kids are encouraged to continue to explore the natural world around them.

"There is no right or wrong way to do it."

This event will take place inside KWR's Education Cabin.

Materials will be provided, although the organisation encourages children to bring "natural bits they find interesting for use".

Lastly, KWR said that "curiosity and imagination" are required, while journals will be supplied to attendees.

The first workshop will take place on Saturday, August 16, 2025 and will run from 1.30pm until 3pm.

The second workshop will take place on Saturday, August 30, 2025 and will run from 10.30am until 12pm.

This event will have free venue parking.

Booking via Eventbrite.
