Burglars targeted home in North Kildare region, garda representative says. File photograph
A garda spokesperson has said that burglars recently targeted a home in North Kildare — one which was believed to have been unoccupied at the time.
Responding to a question from the Leinster Leader, the spokesperson explained: "Gardaí in Leixlip are investigating a burglary at a residential property in Loughnamona, Leixlip, which occurred on July 11, 2025.
"It is understood that the house was unoccupied at the time."
The spokesperson added: "Investigations are ongoing".
