A €1,000 reward has been offered for the safe return of a County Kildare dog who has been missing for over a month.

Tyson is a Shitzu / Bichon mix with curly hair. According to his owner, Rebecca, he has black on the ends of his ears and a slight black stripe on his tail, but noted that he would likely be "really matted and dirty and would have longer hair now."

She claimed that he went missing from a dog groomers premises located in Kildare, and has since been allegedly sighted in Brownstown, Sheshoon, and Cutbush.

Rebecca added: "In the last few days, there have been unconfirmed sightings in the Brownstown / Maddenstown areas."

ADVICE

She also explained that Tyson will run and hide if he is approached. As such, she has urged anyone who spots him to refrain from calling or chasing after him.

Instead, Rebecca recommended for them try to take a photograph of Tyson from a distance.

She also detailed her family's grief: "If someone has him, I’ll leave no stone unturned looking for him.

"Please let him come home — he has a family who love him so much.

"Our whole family are devastated and his little furry best friends miss him so much also."

She concluded: "Please keep an eye out for Tyson on your daily walks / drives and please call me on 086 026 9740 with sightings as soon as possible with pin drop or Eircode so I can go straight away Thank you."
