Tributes paid to Kildare mother of two who died suddenly

The late Desma O'Shea

Tributes have been paid to Desma O'Shea of Millivew, Ballitore, Co Kildare. 

Desma, who died suddenly, is deeply regretted by her loving parents Des and Phil, daughter Donna and son Tadhg, brothers John and Roy and sisters Valerie, Sam, Joyce and Pearl.

Desma was laid to rest on Saturday following Requim Maas at  the Church of Saints Mary & Laurence in Crookstown.

St. Laurence's GAA Cub extended its condolences to the family and friends of Desma. 

The Club said: "Deepest sympathies from all at St. Laurence's GAA and the local community for the O’Shea family on the sad passing of Desma.

"Our thoughts and prayers at this time are with her family and friends.

"Desma will be sadly missed by all who knew her, may she Rest In Peace."

School friend John Paul O'Brien said: 

"My deepest condolences to all of Desma's family and friends on this heartbreaking loss. I was lucky enough to share the same classroom and playground as Desma from baby infants to sixth class in Crookstown.
"She was a beautiful girl with a beautiful personality, such a gentle presence and essence. All my memories of Desma are positive. Her essence lives on in all who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace."

Minister for Agriculture and local TD Martin Heydon said: "My sincere sympathy to the O’Shea family on the sad and untimely passing of Desma. May she rest in peace."

Labour Party TD Mark Wall and his wife Michelle said: "Sincere condolences to Phil, Des, Donna, Tadgh and all the extended O‘Shea family on the very sad passing of Desma. May Desma Rest In Peace."
