RIP: Tributes paid to Kildare gentleman who died following a short illness

John Ryan from Newbridge passed away recently

Tributes have poured in following the death of Kildare man John Ryan who died following a short illness.

John was from Blackberry Lane, Newbridge, Kildare and died on 25th March 2025 peacefully at his residence.

He is sadly missed by his loving wife Pauline, sons Jason and Derick, sisters Elizabeth, Mary and Mairead, sisters-in-law Ellen, Pauline and Paula, brothers-in-law Joe and Niall, nieces and nephews, extended family, relatives and friends.

 Messages have poured in on RIP.ie, one mourner wrote, "Our Deepest Condolences to Pauline , Jason , Derick and extended family on such a sad loss . It was always a pleasure to stop and have a small chat with John on the lane . Such a friendly pleasant man . May he rest peace."

Another person wrote, "My sincere sympathy to John's family on his sad and untimely passing. I first met John many years ago. He was always a pleasure to meet and he would always have word. A gentleman, may he rest in eternal peace."

"I'm so so very sorry to hear this very sad news, I got to know John and Pauline when I worked in Maginns in the Curragh and from then on whenever we me they always stopped to have a chat and would brighten up your day with their lovely happy humour, John was a lovely gentleman, my sincere condolences to Pauline, Jason and Derick and all John's family, May John Rest in Peace, Brigid and Noel Behan Calverstown."

Funeral Arrangements:

Reposing at Anderson & Leahy's Funeral Home, Henry St., Newbridge on Thursday from 4pm with prayers at 7pm.

Removal on Friday morning at 10.30am to arrive at St. Conleth's Parish Church for 11am Mass.
