The Social Care level 5 class at St. Conleth's Community College have raised €742.42 for KARE.
The funds were raised specifically for KARE's Early Years Pre-School for children with additional needs.
Students fundraised by doing a charity walk before Christmas called "The 12 Laps of Christmas" where every Further Education class from St. Conleth's was represented.
On December 16 at 9.30am, the Further Education students walked the track twelve times together to some Christmas tunes.
Following the fundraiser, Social Care Course Coordinator, Nuala Lynam presented the cheque for €742.42 to KARE's CEO, Deirdre Murphy.
KARE is an organisation which supports people with intellectual disabilities and their families to lead a life that fulfils their personal potential.
They deliver a range of community-based supports to over 550 children and adults with intellectual disabilities across Kildare, west Wicklow and east Offaly.
