Cameras should be installed to tackle Kildare drivers 'breaking' red lights

Drivers not waiting for a green light

Cameras should be provided to monitor motorists who drive through red traffic lights.

Kildare County Council has been asked to introduce “automatic traffic light cameras.”

Cllr Ger Dunne says this has been done by Dublin City Council.

The cameras are located at traffic lights and can also be used against drivers breaking other rules such as blocking junction boxes.
