Kildare woman launches exciting new ‘travel essential’ skincare hygiene product

Inspired by her own experience with sweat and bacteria related skin issues, Combat Care was founded by Aoife Chaney from Newbridge
Newbridge woman Aoife Chaney, founder of Combat Care, has launched RESET+ Multipurpose Hypochlorous Mist, a new festival and everyday essential for clean skincare and compact hygiene on the move.
Combat Care is a new Irish skincare brand aimed at delivering clean skin and hair care solutions to people with busy and active lifestyles. The brand's flagship product was created to help combat sweat-related breakouts, body acne, manage odour, and promote a healthy scalp environment.
Chaney is a skincare enthusiast with a purple belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu who was inspired by her own experience with sweat and bacteria-related skin issues from training.
The Kildare entrepreneur set out to bridge the gap between clean skincare and active lifestyles. She believes that training hard is self-care in the same way that looking after our skin and hair is. Her own journey with using Hypochlorous Acid opened the brand up to much more uses than just post-exercise. Her experience as a seasoned festival goer led her to see the ingredient as a true multitasker when it comes to clean skincare and compact hygiene on the go.
Hypochlorous acid (HOCl) is a biomimetic skincare ingredient that the human body naturally produces as part of its immune defence system. It’s created by white blood cells to help control harmful bacteria, calm inflammation, and support the skin’s natural balance. Because HOCl is skin-native, it’s something your skin instinctively recognises on contact, making it suited for sensitive, reactive, or compromised skin.
