Kildare town library will host a children's book festival this October with a number of author and poet visits. Ruth Frances Long “A Crack in Everything” will be at the library on Wednsday 5 October; Juanita Browne “My First Book of Animals” will be there on Thursday, October 6; Tatyana Feeney “Small Elephants Bathtime” on Friday, October 7. The festival is part of the wider run Kildare Reader's Festival which takes place at the Riverbank Arts Centre from October 1 next to October 16. The free literarly festival connects readers with authors and artists in a variety of venues and with a packed programme which is available at Riverbank.ie. Contact the library for exact times.
