Tributes have flowed in on the sad passing of Brigid Gaffney (née Ryan) Curragh View, Brownstown, The Curragh, Kildare, R56 AX05 / Glenmore, Kilkenny

Brigid Gaffney née Ryan, Curragh View, Brownstown, The Curragh, Co. Kildare. Formerly Davidstown, Glenmore, Co. Kilkenny.

Brigid passed away peacefully on January 27 2025, at Suncroft Lodge Nursing Home, with her loving family by her side.

Sadly missed by her loving husband Pat (Jack), daughters Carol, Bernie and Geraldine, sons John and David, sons and daughters in law, grandchildren, great granddaughter, sister Stasia, brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

May Brigid Rest In Peace

Tributes paid on RIP.ie included: “Uncle Pat, Carol, Bernie, Geraldine, John and David. So sad to hear about Your Mam. She was so lovely and we have so many great memories of the Curragh and Martinstown. May she rest in peace. Thoughts and prayers xoxo.”

While another mourner wrote: “Condolences to Mr Gaffney and all the Gaffney family on the passing of Mrs Gaffney. May she rest in God's Arms. Always lovely to see both Mr and Mrs Gaffney out walking. Thinking of you all at this very sad time.”

And another wrote: “Sincere Sympathy To Jack and Family, Stasia and Family On the sad passing of Biddy.
John has lovely memories of Biddy being kind and witty when growing up in Davidstown, Glenmore. May her gentle soul Rest in Peace.”

Reposing at her family home (R56 AX05) from 4pm on Tuesday concluding with rosary at 7pm. Removal by Glennons Funeral Directors on Wednesday morning to arrive at St. Brigid's Church, The Curragh, for requiem mass at 11am.

Burial afterwards in Holy Cross cemetery, Suncroft. Mass will be live streamed on the webstream link: https://www.facebook.com/TheCurraghChurch/live/?_rdr
