‘A true gentleman’ - Tributes paid after untimely passing of Kildare father of two
Tributes have been pouring in for the late Tadhg O'Donnell following his passing.
Tadhg O’Donnell of Naas, Co. Kildare and late of Newcastle, Co. Dublin, died peacefully January 18 2025, surrounded by his loving family in the excellent care of the staff of the Beacon Hospital, Sandyford.
Many friends, family and people who met Tadhg over the course of his life have left messages on his rip.ie page.

One person wrote: "My deepest sympathy to Tadhg's family on this very sad news. I only met him occasionally over the years but always found him to be a gentleman, a perhaps overused term sometimes but, with Tadhg, very true indeed.
"He will be sorely missed too by his many friends and acquaintances."
Another person said: "A huge loss to his family and to everyone who knew him, we are all better people for having known Tadhg. He has left a great legacy which will live on."
A former colleague said: "I worked along side him the last couple of years and he was an absolute gentleman, with an unbelievably positive and optimistic look on life and a genuine smile.
"I will miss him very much may he rest in peace."
Tadhg was the beloved grandson of the late Joe and Nellie O’Reilly, he is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife Maria Ines, cherished children Paul and Maria Christina, parents Geraldine and Tim, brother, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, mother-in-law Ines, nieces, nephews, extended family and many good friends.
Tadhg is reposing at his residence on Tuesday, January 21 from 4pm - 8pm, with evening prayers at 6:30pm.
Removal from his residence on Wednesday, January 22 at approximately 10:30am to arrive at St. Peter’s Church, Two-Mile-House for 11am Funeral Mass, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
