Into Kildare tourism body looking forward to another successful year in 2025

The Into Kildare Annual General Meeting and Networking Event was held at Lawlors of Naas Hotel.

Over 65 different hospitality businesses from Kildare were represented at the meeting including people from some of the county’s best-known hotels, pubs, restaurants, retail experiences, racecourses and visitor attractions.

The Cathaoirleach of Kildare, Cllr Joseph Neville and Sonya Kavanagh, Chief Executive of Kildare County Council welcomed guests as did several county councillors and travel writer Eoghan Corry who was the keynote speaker.

Áine Mangan, CEO of Into Kildare, the tourism board for County Kildare said, “We were delighted that Eoghan Corry was our keynote speaker and took the time to attend and support tourism stakeholders in County Kildare and the work of Into Kildare. Eoghan is a proud Kildare native himself and proudly fly’s the flag of tourism for this county and indeed Ireland with every opportunity he gets. He is also a highly respected travel commentator and journalist and regularly speaks at conferences at home and abroad on all things travel and tourism. Áine also added “we are looking forward to another proactive year in Kildare
Tourism and hope to drive a large amounts of footfall to the County for key events. We look forward to Kildare being the host once again to the KPMG Women’s Irish Open in Fairmont, Carton House and hosting the Amgen Irish Open in The K Club as well as many other key events throughout the year”.

The Chairperson of Into Kildare, David Mongey of Mongey Communications opened the meeting and the official business of the AGM got underway. Áine Mangan gave a detailed presentation on the activities of Into Kildare and highlighted the work that had taken place in collaboration with the tourism and hospitality sector state agencies and community groups during the last 12 months and what is to come in the year ahead. The event concluded with Eoghan Corry who took to the floor and made a fascinating presentation on how best to harness the potential of Kildare tourism and spoke about ways to make the visitor
experience even more enriched.
