This result came from the tally which was carried out earlier this morning
Sitting councillors Suzanne Doyle (FF) and Kevin Duffy (FG) look likely to get re-elected, according to the tally for the Kildare Electoral Area.
Brian O'Loughlin (FF) also did well on first preference votes followed by Cllr Paddy Curran (FG) and Pat Balfe (Ind). It's going to be very tight for those last seats with Shónagh Ní Raghallaigh (SF) a very short way behind.
There five seats in this electoral area and the count begins at 9am tomorrow morning at Punchestown Racecourse.
