A second matter against one of the men was also struck out.
A Naas District Court case that was heard earlier this year and involved two defendants accused of a trespassing offence has been withdrawn.
Previously, back in March, it was alleged that Anthony Delaney, 27, and David Delaney, 46, both of Ballysax in The Curragh, both trespassed on a property located in County Kildare on February 11 last.
Gardaí present in the court at the time told Judge Desmond Zaidan that the duo were allegedly spotted knocking on the door of the property while wearing balaclavas.
On the latest court date — Thursday, November 2 last — gardaí told presiding Judge Philip O'Leary that the charge against both men had been withdrawn by the State.
SECOND MATTER
Anthony Delaney also had a summons matter due to be heard in the afternoon: he was accused of driving while drunk at Whitehall Cross in Old Kilcullen on February 6, 2020.
He contested this allegation made against him.
However, when gardaí informed Judge O'Leary that the prosecuting garda involved in this specific case was unavailable, the judge struck out this case against Anthony Delaney.
