Kildare gardaí claim Newbridge man threatened woman over alleged drug debt

ACCUSATION
A Newbridge resident allegedly made a threat to a woman over money that was allegedly owed for drugs.
Dylan Lennon, with an address given as 925 Moorefield Crescent in Newbridge, but who is currently remanded in custody, was accused of the offence when he appeared before Judge Desmond Zaidan on Thursday, October 5 last.
Garda Detective Seamus Doyle alleged to the judge that on September 5 last, the 27-year-old made a threat to a woman in Newbridge, relating to €10,000 owed for drugs.
It was claimed that Mr Lennon told the woman that 'he would get men to come down to her and shoot up her house.'
Det Doyle alleged that the woman was the mother of a person who owed money for the drugs.
The court was told that the Director of Public Prosecutions directed a trial on indictment for the accused.
Judge Zaidan adjourned the case to October 12, to allow time for a book of evidence to be presented in the case.
