A Naas District Court Judge was less than impressed when it came to one Kildare nightclub's apparent management style.

Judge Desmond Zaidan made the comments in the case of a young man who was kicked out of a nightclub for being 'highly intoxicated'.

Gardaí said that shortly after this, he began 'shouting and roaring' at other people nearby.

Commenting on the case, Judge Zaidan said: "There should be shared responsibility (between the pub's management and the offender): why did they keep serving him if he is sloshed?

Judge Desmond Zaidan made the comments.

"Then, once he's legless, they call the gardaí."

"It takes two to tango," he added.

When the judge asked the man if he had any memory of the event, he replied: "Not much."

In response, Judge Zaidan said: "You need to know your limit. You could have gotten in serious trouble."

When the man put forward a monetary donation as a gesture of his remorse, the judge remarked to the man: "I will take a chance on you, but please don't throw your life away (over alcohol). It could have ended so much worse."

The judge ultimately applied the Probation Act on the man.
