The death has occurred of Sheila BURKE (née Cooper), Naas, Kildare / Castlerea, Roscommon.

Burke (nee Cooper) (Naas and formerly of Castlerea, Co. Roscommon) - March 9, 2026, (surrounded by her loving family).

Sheila, beloved mother of Lyndsey and Aaron. Predeceased by baby Morgan, her brother Dennis and sister Eileen; Sadly missed by her loving son, daughter, brothers Gary, Pat, Richard and Kevin, sisters Carmel, Kay and Ann, son-in-law Daniel, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, grandchildren Daisy, Ada and Izzy, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing on Wednesday from 5pm to 7pm with Prayers at 6.30pm at Murphy Brothers Funeral Home, Church Lane, Naas, W91 VY71.

Removal on Thursday to the Church of Our Lady and St. David, Naas arriving for 10am Mass. Funeral immediately afterwards to St. Corban's Cemetery. House private please.

Vera Butler (née Lynch)

The death has occurred of Vera Butler (née Lynch), Naas, Kildare / Harold's Cross, Dublin / Cavan.

BUTLER (née Lynch), Vera, March 10 2026, McAuley Place, Naas, Co. Kildare, formerly of Mt. Drummond Avenue, Harolds Cross and Co. Cavan.

Peacefully surrounded by her family in the tender loving care of the staff of Orwell Healthcare, Rathgar.

Beloved wife of the late Peter, loving and much-loved mother of Peter, Jim, Mary, Sheila, Margaret, Patricia, Breda and Jane. Vera will be forever loved and dearly missed by her sons and daughters, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, her twenty adored grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, extended family, relatives and friends.

Vera is now reunited with her beloved daughter Ann-Marie, her husband Peter and her darling babies Patrick, Michael and Philip.

May she Rest in Peace.

Reposing at Massey Bros. Funeral Home, Templeogue Village, D6W AC82 this Thursday evening, 12th March from 5pm - 7pm.

Removal on Friday to the Church of St. Paul of the Cross, Mount Argus, arriving for Requiem Mass at 12 noon followed by cremation at Mt. Jerome Crematorium.

Family flowers only please, donations, if desired, can be made to MS Ireland (donate below).

Joe Delaney

The death has occurred of Joe Delaney, Ballagh, Monasterevin, Kildare.

Joe died on March 6 following a farming accident. Beloved son of the late Tommy and Winnie. Deeply regretted by his heartbroken wife Gemma, his sons Jamie and Evan ,sister Anne, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

May Joe Rest In Peace.

Reposing at his residence (eircode W34 KC42) on Thursday evening from 3pm with Rosary at 8pm. Removal on Friday morning at 10:20am arriving St Peter and Paul's Church, Monasterevin for Requiem Mass at 11am. Funeral afterwards to St Evin's Cemetery, Monasterevin.

Anthony (Tony) Kavanagh

The death has occurred of Anthony (Tony) Kavanagh, The Acres, Dromahair, Leitrim / Newbridge, Kildare. Formerly of Mount Carmel, Roseberry, Newbridge, Co. Kildare.

Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family in the great care of the doctors, nurses and staff at Sligo University Hospital.

Predeceased by his parents Charles and Beryl and his brothers Terry, Brian and his twin brother David.

Loving husband of Mary and dear father of Irene and Emma (Ray).

He will be sadly missed by his wife, daughters, granddaughter Kate, sisters Jill and Susan, brothers Denis and Barry, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at McGowan’s Crematorium and Funeral Home, Collooney, Co. Sligo (F91AKW5) on Friday March 13 from 3:00pm to 4:00pm followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 4:30pm.

A Funeral Mass will take place in St. Eustace’s Dominican Church, Newbridge, Co. Kildare at a later date.

Kathleen McDermott (née Donovan)

The death has occurred of Kathleen McDermott (née Donovan), Kilberry, Kildare / Athy, Kildare.

Kathleen McDermott (née Donovan), Kilberry, Athy, Co. Kildare passed away peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff of Naas General Hospital on Monday March 9, 2026 surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her parents Patricia and John Donovan, son-in-law Derek, sister Lil, brother Tommy and also Mary Donovan. Kathleen will be sadly missed by her loving husband Joe, sons and daughter, Martin, Elaine and Joseph, grandchildren James, Craig, Clodagh, Kayla, Darragh, Conor, Joseph and Maddison, nieces Geraldine and Tricia McEntee, daughters-in-law Vanessa and Denise, brothers and sisters Johnny, Narra, David, Mary and Junie, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews and nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Kathleen will repose at Thompson's Funeral Home, Chapel Hill, Mount Hawkins, Athy (R14 NX80) on Wednesday, 11th March from 5pm – until the conclusion of the Rosary 7pm.

Arriving to St. Michael's Parish Church, Athy, for Requiem Mass at 11am on Thursday March 12 2026.

A private cremation service will take place later for family and close friends.
