18 patients on trolleys at Kildare's main hospital

The most overcrowded facility in the area is in Dublin

Patients advised to avoid Naas Hospital due to high numbers presenting there

Some 18 patients were treated on trolleys at Naas Hospital today, having been admitted through the accident and emergency department.

But the most overcrowded hospital in the eastern region was St Vincent's in Dublin, which had 55 people on trolleys, followed by St James's (31).

There were no patients on trolleys at either Tullamore Hospital or Portlaoise Hospital.
