Tributes paid to 'beautiful lady' from Leixlip, Kildare

The Leixlip, Co Kildare community is mourning the passing of Margaret Farrell (née Fallon), who passed on Saturday, October 25 last.

Margaret, who passed peacefully, is formerly of Dysart, Co Roscommon.

She is the beloved wife of John, cherished mother of Bernard and Fergus, devoted grandmother to Sean, Cameron, James and Cillian and dear sister of Kathleen and the late John and Petie.

Margaret will be sadly missed by her loving family, sister, daughters-in-law Bec and Jenny, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. R.I.P.

Margaret will be reposing at Cunningham's Funeral Home, Lucan on Wednesday evening (October 29) from 6pm to 8pm.

The removal to the Church of Our Lady’s Nativity, Leixlip takes place on Thursday morning (October 30) arriving for Requiem Mass at 11am followed by burial in Confey Cemetery.

Tributes paid to Margaret on RIP.ie include: “Sincere condolences to the Farrell family on the sad loss of Margaret. RIP. I always enjoyed meeting her at Bridge, both playing and having a chat.”

And: “Sincere and heartfelt sympathy from Leixlip Bridge Club Mornings Session to John, Bernard, Fergus & families. Margaret was a long term, valued member of our club & will be sadly missed. She was a formidable opponent at the bridge table but was always pleasant & friendly and enjoyed the chats. May Margaret rest in peace.”

While another mourner wrote: “Very sorry to hear that Margaret has died. She was a great friend in Temple Street where we both worked. Sincere sympathy to John and family. Margaret rest in peace.”

And another added: “Condolences to John, Bernard and Fergus and family on the sad loss of Margaret. She was a beautiful lady and it was a pleasure to have met her and chat with her when I did some work for herself and John some time ago. You were both so welcoming and good chats over cups of tea were had. May Margaret rest in peace.”
