Tributes paid to Carbury, Kildare man who passed recently

The community of Carbury, Kildare is mourning the passing of James (Jim) Melia, who passed peacefully in the care of St. Brigid's Hospice, The Curragh surrounded by his loving family.

James, Ticknevin, Carbury, Kildare is predeceased by his mother and father Betty and Jim and his sister-in-law Moyra.

He will be deeply regretted and sadly missed by his family: wife Sarah, son Alan and his partner Hector, brothers Mick, Paddy and Ned, sister Lily, father-in-law Kit (Duffy) nephew Darren, nieces especially Pamela and Louise, grandniece Emma, relatives, neighbours and friends.

May Jim Rest in Peace.

Tributes paid to Jim on RIP.ie include: “Deepest sympathy to all the Melia family on the sad passing of Jim, may he rest in peace.”

And: “Deepest sympathy to Sarah Alan and extended Melia family on the sad passing of Jimmy may he rest in peace.”

While another mourner wrote: “So sorry to hear of Jim passing to Sarah, Alan and partner, sister and brothers, extended family & friends. May Jim now rest in peace.”

And another added: “Deepest sympathy to Sarah, Alan, Mick, Paddy, Ned and Lily on the sad passing of Jimmy, may his gentle soul rest in peace.”

Jim will repose at his home (Eircode W91 T2FY) on Monday (October 13) and Tuesday (October 14) from 5pm to 7pm with a Rosary on Tuesday at 7pm.

His Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday at 1.30pm in The Holy Trinity Church, Derrinturn followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

The family would like to thank you for your kindness and support at this sad time.
