Angela Colman (née Coogan)

The death has occurred of Angela Colman (née Coogan), Newbridge, Kildare.

The death has occurred of Angela COLMAN (née COOGAN), Torquay, Devon / Newbridge, Kildare.

Passed peacefully in her sleep on Friday, August 15, 2025, aged 82 years. Beloved mum of Simon and Tim, grandma to Katy and Callie, mother-in-law to Julie and Lisa and friend to so many others. Also very sadly missed by her sisters Mary, Deirdre the late Vera, and her brothers Joe and the late Gerry.
A funeral is to be held at Our Lady and St Denis Catholic Church, St Marychurch in Torquay, Devon at 10am on Thursday September 4.

Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam.

Tony Dunne

The death has occurred of Tony Dunne, Leixlip, Kildare.

Dunne, Tony (Anthony) (Leixlip, Co. Kildare and formerly of Ordnance Survey) August 30 2025. Peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family.

Beloved husband of Rita née Hand and much-loved father of Claire, Anne, Siobhán and Valerie and a cherished grandad of Emma, Lauren, Charlotte, Jake, Sarah, Isabelle, Kelly and Alannah.

Sadly missed by his loving wife, daughters, grandchildren, sons-in-law Graham, Colin, Trev and Dermot, brother Val, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and many good friends.

May he rest in peace.

Reposing at his residence on Tuesday evening (September 2) between 6pm and 8pm.

Removal on Wednesday morning (September 3) to the Church of Our Lady’s Nativity, Leixlip arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am followed by Cremation in Newlands Cross Crematorium.

Edward O'Donoghue

The death has occurred of Edward O'Donoghue, 48 Avondale Drive, Athy, Kildare.

Peacefully, in the loving care of the staff of The Midland Regional Hospital, Portlaoise.

Predeceased by his loving wife Frances.

Deeply regretted by his loving children Eddie, Tom, Noel, Paddy, Robert, Michael, Anna, Frances and John, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, great neighbours and friends.

Rest in Peace. 

Reposing at Rigney's Funeral Home, Athy (R14 TX26) on Tuesday evening (September 2) from 6pm until the conclusion of the Rosary at 8pm.

Removal from his residence at 10.30am on Wednesday morning (September 3) to arrive at St. Michael's Parish Church, Athy for Requiem Mass at 11am, see livestream link http://www.parishofathy.ie

Burial afterwards in Ballylinan Cemetery.

House private at all times please.

Mary Sheridan (née Swords)

The death has occurred of Mary Sheridan (née Swords), Naas, Kildare.

Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at Craddock House Nursing Home. Predeceased by her loving husband James ' Big Noise' and grandson William.

Mary will be forever loved and very sadly missed by her loving children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

May her gentle soul rest in peace.

Reposing at her daughter Marie Kane’s home (W91E64W) on Monday September 1 from 4pm to 8pm.

Funeral on Tuesday September 2 (leaving from Pacelli Road at approximately 9.30am) with Requiem Mass at 10am in Church of Our Lady and St. David, Naas, followed by burial at St. Corban’s Cemetery.

Tommy (Tom) Byrne

The death has occurred of Tommy (Tom) Byrne, Drumlargan, Kilcock, Meath / Kilcock, Kildare

Ontario, Canada, and formerly of Drumlargan, Kilcock, Co. Meath.

Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his parents Jim and Kathleen and brother Tony. Sadly missed by his loving wife Wilna, son Sean, daughters Tara and Katrina, grandchildren, sons-in-law, brothers Jimmy and Michael, sister Joan, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

May he Rest In Peace.

Mass in celebration of Tommy's life will be held on Sunday September 7 at 10am in the Church of the Assumption, Coole, Summerhill (W23 WAC8). Memorial Mass in Coole Church and interment of remains will take place at a later date.
