Kildare woman fondly remembered as 'a beautiful lady'

A Kildare woman has been fondly remembered as 'a beautiful lady'

Mary Rocks (née Gleeson), Naas, Co Kildare passed on August 6 2025 after a long illness.

Beloved wife of Harry and dear mother of Damian and Paul. Predeceased by her brother Tom; Sadly missed by her loving husband, sons, brothers Seamus, Michael and Liam, sister Helen, daughters-in-law Sara and Amanda, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, grandchildren Ilen and Sonny, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing on Friday from 5pm to 7pm at Murphy Brothers Funeral Home, Church Lane, Naas W91 VY71.

Removal on Saturday to the Church of Our Lady and St. David, Naas arriving for 10am Mass. Funeral immediately afterwards to St. Corban’s Cemetery.

Tributes paid to Mary this week on RIP.ie include: “Hi Harry, a very sad time for you and the extended family. I’m deeply grieved for your loss and sadness of Mary’s passing. May you have the strength and support to help you through. May peace be with you, you’re deep in our thoughts. Our very best and love xx.”

And: “So sad to hear of Mary's passing, a beautiful lady. I remember Mary when she lived in the Curragh. My sincere sympathy to her husband and sons and all extended family, especially to my friend Helen her only sister. Rest in Peace Mary.”

While another mourner wrote: “Deepest sympathy to Harry, Damian and Paul and to all the Rocks and Gleeson families on the sad passing of Mary. May her gentle soul rest in peace.”

And another added: “Sincere condolences to Harry & family on Mary's passing, may she rest in peace.”
