The death has occurred of Joy Bruzda Damasceno, Kestral Manor, Drogheda, Louth / Maynooth, Kildare.

29th June 2025. Suddenly at Temple Street Children’s Hospital, Dublin.

Dearly loved daughter of Justyna and Emerson. Joy will be sadly missed by her Mama and Papai, her brother Ben, her Babeczka and Vovó, Emerson's partner Caoimhe, her aunts Flavia, Fernanda and Dani and uncles Robert, Piotr, Clayton, Fernando and Anderson and their families.

May she rest in peace.

Reposing at F Watson & Son Funeral Directors, Dyer St, Drogheda (A92 W7EP) on Wednesday evening from 5pm until 7pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday morning in St. Mary’s Church, James St, Drogheda at 11am (A92 XO96) which can be viewed live at www.stmarysdrogheda.ie

The death has occurred of Veronica Butler (née Pegley), Newcastle, Dublin / Leixlip, Kildare.

BUTLER (née Pegley), Veronica (Chickie) (Newcastle, Co. Dublin and formerly of Leixlip, Co. Kildare) June 27th, 2025, peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, in the wonderful care of the staff at Tallaght Hospital.

Beloved wife of Liam and much loved mother of Melissa, Karl, Colin, and Elaine. Sadly missed by her loving husband and children, grandchildren Sarah, Jayden, Zoe, Lia, and Adam, daughter-in-law Joanne, brothers, extended family, friends, neighbours, and all of the amazing staff at Lisheen Nursing Home, Rathcoole.

May she rest in peace.

Reposing at Cunningham’s Funeral Home, Celbridge on Tuesday evening (July 1st) between 5 pm and 7 pm. Removal on Wednesday morning (July 2nd) to St. Finian’s Church, Newcastle arriving for Funeral Mass at 12 pm followed by burial in Newcastle Cemetery.

Maurice Cahill

The death has occurred of Maurice Cahill, Butlers Lane, Athy, Kildare / Kilmeedy, Limerick.

Maurice Cahill, Butlers Lane, Athy, formerly Kilmeedy, Co. Limerick.

Sun Rise 15th August 1944 - Sun Set 28th June 2025.

Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Mary Ann, his sisters Maura Meehan and Nora Cahill. Maurice will be sadly missed by his sisters Ellen Lynch, Sr. Hannah and Maureen Cahill, his niece Nora Pooley and his many nephews.

Maurice will also be missed by his many friends in Athy.

Maurice will repose in Thompson’s Funeral Home, Athy, his Funeral Mass will also take place in Athy and he will be laid to rest with his parents in Clouncagh grave yard, Newcastle West.

Ann Deegan (née Kerry)

The death has occurred of Ann Deegan (née Kerry), Slatt House, Wolfhill, Laois, R14E771 / Portlaoise, Laois / Athy, Kildare.

Formerly of John Square, Portlaoise.

Peacefully, in Droimnin Nursing Home on Sunday, 29th June, 2025.

Predeceased by her husband Pauge. Ann will be sadly missed and forever remembered by her loving children, daughter Dolores and son-in-law Pat Keogh and their sons Richard, Patrick and Michael, her son Maurice and his family Sheena and Jake and their mother Brigid, Zara and her mother Mary, her son Paraig and daughter-in-law Ursula and their family Sarah, Noelle, Tadgh, Lola and Luna. Deeply regretted by her loving sisters and brothers Maura, Brenda, Donal, Micheál, Declan and John, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Many happy and loving memories of Ann will live on through her precious grandchildren and their partners and her great-grandchildren Amy, Katie, Ellie Ann, Jade, Evan, Alex, Arlie, Martin, Louise, Isla and JJ.

Ann will repose at her home, Slatt House Wolfhill on Tuesday (July 1st) from 2pm to 8pm. Ann will leave her home at 2.45pm on Wednesday afternoon (July 2nd) for burial in Wolfhill graveyard at 3pm.

Clare Doyle

The death has occurred of Clare Doyle, Ballymore Eustace, Kildare.

Adored sister, aunt and grandaunt passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Naas General Hospital after a short illness.

Pre-deceased by her brother Jimmy, sister Trish, and her niece Andrea, she will be missed by her loving sisters Kathleen, Joan, Gay, and Ann, nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at her home in Ballymore Eustace (W91 X4E8) on Wednesday 2nd July from 3:30pm to 7:30pm with prayers at 7.00pm. Funeral on Thursday 3rd July to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Ballymore Eustace arriving for 11.00am Funeral Mass, followed by cremation at Newlands Cross Crematorium at 3.00pm.

The family would like to invite friends to the Ballymore Inn following the Funeral Mass.

Veronica (Bonnie) McEvoy

The death has occurred of Veronica (Bonnie) McEvoy, 21 McDonnell Drive, Athy, Kildare, R14 E038.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Veronica (Bonnie) after an illness bravely borne, in the wonderful care of the nurses and staff of Naas General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family on 29th June, 2025.

Predeceased by her parents Danny and Minnie McEvoy and her brother Seamus.

Bonnie will be forever loved and missed by her sister Ber, brothers Stephen, Danny, Johnny and Marty, sisters-in-law Joyce, Claire, Rita and Marian, nieces Niamh, Emily and Kate, grandniece Grace, nephews Stephen, Bernard, Andrew, Conor, Niall and Seán, grandnephews Thomas, Stephen, Dominic and Fionn, aunt Violet (UK), cousins, extended relatives, wonderful neighbours and many great friends.

Gloria O'Donoghue (née Martin)

The death has occurred of Gloria O’Donoghue (née Martin), Kildare Town, Kildare / Blackrock, Dublin / Athlone, Westmeath. Formerly of Blackrock, Co. Dublin and Athlone, Co. Westmeath.

Pre-deceased by her brother Quentin and sister Joan.

Sadly missed by her loving sons Michael and Declan, daughter Yasmin, daughter in law Anne, nephews and nieces Glenn, Robin, Ross, Susan and Valerie, relatives and friends.

WATKINS, Stephen (Maynooth, Co. Kildare and formerly of County Armagh) June 26th, 2025, peacefully at The Residence Nursing Home, Maynooth.

Predeceased by his cherished parents Patricia Lauri and John Joseph “Jackie” Watkins, his step-father Edward (Leo) Litz, brother Adrian and his grand-niece Éabha.

Sadly missed by his loving brother Paul and identical twin Noel, sisters Patricia, Deirdre and Kathryn, children Michael, Jimmy, Keely and Sara, grandchildren Ashton, Brogyn, Gemma, Teagan, Dustyn, Kairi, Lucy, James, Sicilia Rose, Isabella Marie, Kian, Stephan, Landon and Layla, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Removal to St. Mary’s Church, Maynooth on Saturday morning (5th July) arriving for Requiem Mass at 10am followed by burial in Laraghbryan Cemetery, Maynooth.
