The Maynooth community is mourning the sad and sudden loss of Eamonn Egan, Clonfert, Maynooth, Co Kildare, following a tragic accident at home.
Deeply regretted by his loving children Eddie, Emma and Ashlie, wife Sarah, brothers Alan, Declan and Fergal, sister Lorraine, partner Katherine, grandson Ethan, extended family, colleagues and friends.

Tributes paid to Eamonn this week on RIP.ie include: “My deepest condolences to Éamonn's family on his tragic death. I got to know him through the British-Irish Chamber of Commerce when I was working on Brexit in the Department of Foreign Affairs, and appreciated his positivity, friendliness and deep understanding of UK-Ireland links in the financial sector. I also enjoyed talking to him about racing and his hard work to get back in the saddle as a Corinthian.”
And: “My sincere condolences to all Eamonn's family. Have known Eamonn for over 30 years and he was always on hand for a chat and a kind word and advice. Will miss those chats.”
While another mourner wrote: “So sad to hear this news. Deepest condolences to all Eamonn’s Family on their tragic loss.”
And another added: “My sincere sympathies to all the family on the passing of Eamonn, he was great company, full of humour and always respected, he will be greatly missed. From an old work colleague in Fin. Services before his insurance days. May he Rest In Peace.”
Reposing at his residence on Sunday from 4pm - 8pm, with evening prayers at 7pm. Removal from his residence on Monday at approx. 11am to arrive at the Church of St. Patrick and St. Brigid, Clane for 11:30am Funeral Mass, followed by burial in Mainham Cemetery, Clane.
