A young Kildare woman has been remembered as a 'beautiful young lady' who is 'gone too soon.'
Orla Geoghegan, Newbridge, Co. Kildare, formerly Dublin, died tragically on May 24 2025. Daughter of the late Bernadette. Sadly missed by her loving sons Michael and Dylan, father Fergal, brothers Conor and Noel, aunts, uncles, cousins, neighbours and friends.
May Orla Rest In Peace
Tributes paid to Orla this week on RIP.ie include: “So sorry to see such a beautiful young lady has passed away. Condolences to all of your family especially your children. So sad, beyond words, but we hope your beautiful memories will keep Orla alive in your hearts forever. Big hugs to you all.”
And: “My condolence to Orla's family and friends, a young lady gone too soon.
Rest in peace Orla.”
While another mourner wrote: “I'm deeply saddened to hear of Orla's tragic passing. She was a proud mother to Micheal and Dylan and her eyes lit up anytime she spoke of her boys. A beautiful, kind, generous young woman. God grant her peace and eternal rest.”
And another added: “Dear Orla's family, I am so sorry for your loss. 'Orla G' was one of my closest friends when we were teenagers. All of my greatest adventures were with her, whether that was going to Scotland with KYT or working at concerts in Dublin together when we were a bit older. She was one of a kind. Hilarious, mischievous, generous. A real gem. I feel so lucky to have known Orla and wouldn't be who I am today without our friendship. We will remember Orla forever.”
Reposing at Glennon's Funeral Home, 32 Main Street, Newbridge from 5pm on Thursday (29th May) with Rosary at 7pm.
Removal on Friday to arrive at St Conleth's Parish Church, Newbridge, for Requiem Mass at 1pm. Burial afterwards in St. Conleth's Cemetery, Newbridge.
