Tributes paid to Kildare gentleman who passed recently

Tributes have poured in following the death of a Kildare gentleman who passed recently.

Des O'Sullivan, Mulhussey, Maynooth, Co. Kildare and late of Rathfarnham, Dublin 14 and Glasnevin, Dublin 9, passed peacefully on May 4, surrounded by his loving family.

Beloved husband of the recently deceased Pat, dearly missed and fondly remembered by his children Deirdre, Gráinne, Shea and John, daughters-in-law Sandra and Jayne, grandchildren Daniel, Oisín, Jamie, Ciara, Eoin, Jack, Archie, Ava, Cian, Adam, Conor and his fiancée Hannah, Clodagh and her partner Gavin, great-grand children Ayla and Ciara, sister Patricia, brother Mike, extended family, many good friends and his four legged companion, Max.

May Des Rest In Peace.

Tributes paid to Des this week on RIP.ie included: “To Deirdre, Gráinne, Shea and John and all of the extended O'Sullivan family, sending you our sincere sympathies and thoughts at this difficult time on the passing of Des. May he rest in peace.”

And: “Sincere condolences to Shea and all the O’Sullivan family on the passing of your Dad.”

While another mourner wrote: “Deepest sympathy to Shea, Dee, Grainne, John and all the family on the sad passing of your Dad. RIP Des. Thoughts and prayers are with you all. May the memories you all shared with Des help you get through this heartbreaking time”

And another added: “Dear Shea, John, Deirdre & Grainne, I'm so sorry to hear about your Dad's passing. Lots of memories coming up of Batterstown and first communion visits with that massive dog and special piano! RIP Uncle Des, I'm sure he's having great craic with the rest of lads above!”

Reposing at Oliver Reilly's Funeral Home, Leinster St., Maynooth, Co. Kildare (W23 V99E), tomorrow Wednesday from 6pm - 8pm, with evening prayers at 7.45pm. 

Removal from his residence on Thursday at approx. 10.30am to arrive at St. Oliver Plunkett's Church, Kilcloon, Co. Meath for 11am Funeral Mass, followed by burial in adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations can be made in memory of Des to St. Vincent de Paul which can be made in the "donation" section below.
