The death has occurred of Leslie Hugh (Les) Meldrum, Emerson Court, Prosperous, Kildare.

Meldrum, Leslie Hugh (Les), Emerson Court, Prosperous, Co. Kildare and late of Keith, Scotland, April 27 2025, peacefully surrounded by his loving family.

Deeply regretted by his loving wife Claire, cherished daughter Katie, and her partner Anthony, brother Allan, sisters Sandra, Maureen and Anne, mother-in-law Felicity, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, extended family and friends.

The death has occurred of

Frank (Francis) Cosgrave, Kildare / Dublin. Formerly Rathfarnham, Walkinstown and Blacktrench. In the loving care of his wife Rita, supported by the excellent staff of Suncroft Lodge Nursing Home. A kind and loving Father.

Predeceased by his first wife Aideen, the mother of his children. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Rita, children David, Fiona and Clodagh and their partners.

Nieces, Nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives and friends.

Reposing at his daughter Clodagh's residence, W12PP97, on Tuesday 29th from 4pm until 7pm. Cremation Service on Wednesday afternoon at 2.30pm in Newland's Cross Crematorium. No flowers please.

Padraic Cunningham

The death has occurred of Padraic Cunningham, Kill, Kildare / Newbridge, Galway.

Kill, Kildare / Toomard, Newbridge, Galway. Peacefully, on April 26, at Naas General Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Beloved husband of Eileen and loving dad of Maura and Breda. Very sadly missed by his loving wife and daughters, grandchildren Tessa, Gavin and Ella, son-in-law Cormac, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Eternal rest grant onto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.

Reposing at the George Mullins Funeral Home, Kilcullen Road, Naas, (Eircode W91 CD0K) on Tuesday 29th April from 5pm to 7pm with Rosary Prayers at 6:30pm.

Funeral on Wednesday with Requiem Mass at 10am in St. Brigid’s Church, Kill, followed by burial at St. Corban’s Cemetery, Naas.

Fergus Walsh

The death has occurred of Fergus Walsh, Straffan, Kildare.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Fergus Walsh in Spain on Monday, April 21 2025.

Fergus will be forever missed by his beloved wife Siobhán, his daughters Deirdre and Niamh, sons-in-law Ciarán and Paddy, and his most cherished grandchildren Finn, Sophia, and Teidí.

He will be lovingly remembered by his sisters, Angelina, Helen, Caroline, Pacelli, Clare, Frances, Hetty and their partners as well as his extended family, his many dear friends and everyone who knew him.

Catherine Gibbons (née McCabe)

The death has occurred of Catherine Gibbons (née McCabe), Millbrook, Millerstown, Kilcock, Kildare / Kilcock, Meath. Formerly of Ballycaghan, Kilcock.

Catherine will be very sadly missed by her heartbroken daughters, Sarah & Gemma, their husbands Mike & Shane, her adored grandchildren; Summer, Riya and Freddie, sister Frances, nieces and nephews, her many sisters and brothers-in-law, devoted friends Angela & Liz, extended family and friends.

She will be reunited with her beloved Freddie, brother William and parents in heaven.

The death has occurred of Elizabeth (Betty) O'Donnell (née Prendergast), 11 Chanterlands, Athy, Kildare, R14 HY62 / Carlow.

The death has occurred of Elizabeth (Betty) O'Donnell, 1924-2025.
Elizabeth (Betty) O'Donnell née Prendergast, Athy (The Gem), formerly Carlow - died peacefully at home in her 101st year on April 27th 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her husband Jimmy, her sister-in-law Josie, infant son Liam, great-granddaughter Ellie, parents and siblings.

Deeply regretted by her loving children Rosemary (Australia), Eilish (Bettystown), Jimmy (Athy), Niall (America), Ann (Dublin), Úna (Athy), John (Dublin), Maura (Australia), sons-in-law and daughters-in-law.

Betty will be sadly missed by her 21 grandchildren, their partners, 18 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at her residence, 11 Chanterlands, Athy (R14 HY62) on Tuesday (April 29th) from 5pm until the conclusion of the Rosary at 8pm.

Removal at 11.30am on Wednesday morning (April 30th) to arrive at St. Michael's Parish Church, Athy for Requiem Mass at 12 noon, see livestream link http://www.parishofathy.ie.

Burial afterwards in St. Michael's New Cemetery, Athy.
