Catherine Cross

The death has occurred of Catherine CROSS, Drimsree, Rathangan, Kildare

Catherine CROSS, late of Palm Beach, Florida, (formerly of Drimsree, Rathangan, Co. Kildare) passed away on Saturday morning March 22 2025 in the wonderful care of the nurses and doctors of Trustbridge Hospice, Juno Beach and with members of her family.

Predeceased by her parents, Andrew and Margaret, her sister Margaret, brothers Colm, Noel and infants Breda and Andrew.

Catherine will be sadly missed by her brothers Tom (Kildare) and Sean (Drimsree) and her sisters Anne Masterson (Mullingar)and Mary Petrie (Naas).

Beloved aunt of Anne Marie, Aisling, Audrey, Andrew, Aileen and Edward Cross, Mark, Jonathan, Orla and Ciara Glennon, Triona Masterson and Nigel Petrie and will be lovingly remembered by her grandnieces and grandnephews who she gloried in and spent wonderful times with, her extended family, cousins and dear friends.

Catherine found the extraordinary in the ordinary. She had an incredible joie de vivre which positively affected those who surrounded her. Catherine's inspiring life, career within art and design and travels all around the world will forever reside in our memories.

May her gentle soul find rest in the loving arms of those gone before her and in the prayers and hearts of those who loved her dearly

Catherine's family wish to express sincere thanks to Catherine's best friend Darlene and to thank the staff and expert physicians of Trustbridge Hospice and Jupiter Medical Center for their compassionate care for Catherine in her final days and the expert physicians within the Jupiter Medical Center during her short illness.

Brian Grieve

The death has occurred of Brian Grieve, Maynooth, Kildare / Clonee, Dublin / Letterkenny, Donegal.

The death has occurred of Brian Grieve, formerly of Clonee, Dublin and Letterkenny, Co. Donegal.

Brian passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on March 24th 2025, in the care of The Residence Nursing Home, Maynooth.

Beloved husband of the recently deceased Myra for over 60 years and loving father of Cathy, Seamus, Caroline, Maria, Mairead, Bernie, Dympna and the late Baby Brian (R.I.P.).

He will be sadly missed by his devoted and loving children, daughter-in-law Martina, sons-in-law Gerry, Eamonn, Martin and Ray, his adored grandchildren Brian, Rebecca, Hannah, Natasha, Megan, Emer, Mia, Oran, Eamonn, Hayley, Molly, Zach, Dylan, Alex and Bradley and great-granddaughter Cora, his brothers Danny, James and Frank and his sister Bridie and all those who knew him. To know Brian was to love him.

Reposing at his daughter Caroline's residence in Carbury, Co. Kildare (W91 H52P) on Wednesday (March 26) from 3-8pm.

Removal on Thursday (March 27) at 11am to arrive at St. Brigid's Church, Straffan for 12 noon Funeral Mass, followed by burial in Laraghbryan Cemetery, Maynooth.

Marie O'Shea (née Rankin)

The death has occurred of Marie O'Shea (née Rankin), Leixlip, Kildare / Lucan, Dublin.

O’Shea (née Rankin), Leixlip, Co. Kildare and formerly of Lucan, Co. Dublin) March 25th, 2025 (peacefully) in the loving care of the staff at St. Brigid’s Hospice, The Curragh.

Marie, beloved wife of Robbie and much loved mother of Edel and Peter.

Predeceased by her brothers Anthony and David. Sadly missed by her loving family, grandchildren Daniel, Leah and Emily, brothers Martin, Micheal, Noel, Raphael and Gerard, daughter-in-law Anne-Marie, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

May she rest in peace.

Reposing at Cunningham’s Funeral Home, Celbridge on Thursday evening (March 27) between 5 pm and 7 pm. Removal on Friday morning (March 28) to the Church of Our Lady’s Nativity, Leixlip, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am followed by Cremation in Newlands Cross Crematorium.

The death has occurred of Patrick Grosvenor Swift, Gallowhill, Athy, Kildare / Rathfarnham, Dublin.

Patrick Grosvenor Swift, Gallowhill, Athy, Co. Kildare and late of Rathfarnham, Dublin 16, passed away suddenly at home on Sunday 23th March, 2025.

Predeceased by his sister Alice. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Dorothy Gilda (Gill), his children Sharon, Shane and Diane, grandchildren Ciara, Kate, Leah, Séan, Conor and Adam, sons-in-law Jim, Philip and Michael, brother John, brother-in-law Bob, sisters-in-law Adrienne and Heather, nephews and nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Patrick will repose at Peter Massey Funerals, Belarmine Plaza, Belarmine Avenue, Dublin 18 (D18 RX0T) on Wednesday March 26, 2025, from 4pm to 6pm.

A service to celebrate his life will be held at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Chapel Hill, Mount Hawkins, Athy, Co. Kildare (R14 NX80) at 11am on Thursday March 27, 2025, burial afterwards in St. Conleth’s Cemetery, Newbridge, Co. Kildare.

Mildred Ward (née Ray)

The death has occurred of Mildred Ward (née Ray), Nahanna, Rathangan, Offaly / Rathangan, Kildare / Cullohill, Laois. Formerly of Aughmacart, Cullohill County Laois.

Peacefully at Naas Hospital. Sadly missed by her loving husband Robert (Bobby), son Douglas, daughter Norma, sister Florence, daughter-in-law Pamela, son-in-law Chris, grandchildren Stephen, Amy Holly, Jack and Kate, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Maher's Chapel of Rest, Portarlington (eircode R32 X5XV) on Thursday evening from 6pm until 8pm.

Removal on Friday at 1:10pm (travelling via her residence) arriving Rathangan Parish Church (eircode R51 NY90) for Funeral Service at 2pm. Burial afterwards in St Patrick's Cemetery, Rathangan.
