The late Brian Grieve
Heartfelt tributes have been paid to a Maynooth, Co Kildare man who passed away yesterday (March 24).
Brian Grieve, Maynooth, Co Kildare, formerly of Clonee, Dublin and Letterkenny, Co Donegal, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on March 24 2025 in the care of the Residence Nursing Home, Maynooth.
Beloved husband of the recently deceased Myra for over 60 years and loving father of Cathy, Seamus, Caroline, Maria, Mairead, Bernie, Dympna and the late Baby Brian (R.I.P.).
He will be sadly missed by his devoted and loving children, daughter-in-law Martina, sons-in-law Gerry, Eamonn, Martin and Ray, his adored grandchildren Brian, Rebecca, Hannah, Natasha, Megan, Emer, Mia, Oran, Eamonn, Hayley, Molly, Zach, Dylan, Alex and Bradley and great-granddaughter Cora, his brothers Danny, James and Frank and his sister Bridie and all those who knew him. To know Brian was to love him.
Tributes paid to Brian on RIP.ie this week included: “Sincere condolences to all the Grieve family, Brian was such a lovely gentleman, reunited with his beloved Myra. May he rest in peace.”
And: “Deepest sympathies to all the family on the passing of Brian. May he Rest in Eternal Peace with his beloved Myra.”
While another mourner wrote: “So sorry to hear the sad news of your dad's passing, our thoughts are with you and all the family, may he rest in peace.”
And another added: “So sorry to hear this sad news of your dad's passing, our thoughts are with you all, may he rest in peace xx.”
Reposing at his daughter Caroline's residence in Carbury, Co. Kildare (W91 H52P) on Wednesday (March 26) from 3-8pm.
Removal on Thursday (March 27) at 11am to arrive at St. Brigid's Church, Straffan for 12 noon Funeral Mass, followed by burial in Laraghbryan Cemetery, Maynooth.
