Tributes paid to 'lovely gentleman' from Kildare who passed recently

Heartfelt tributes have poured in following the death of 'lovely gentleman', James (Jamesy McCarron), Ballymore Eustace, Co Kildare.

James was from “Alta Villa”, Broadleas, Ballymore Eustace, Co Kildare, and formerly of Listowel, Co Kerry, and London.

James passed unexpectedly on March 9 2025, and is the beloved son of Jane and the late Michael. Loving brother of John, Michael, Anne Marie, Adrian, Kevin, Niall, Sinéad, and Declan.

He will be dearly missed by his family, brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, extended family, and a wide circle of close friends.

Tributes paid to James on RIP.ie this week included: “We extend our Sincere Condolences to Jean, Ann Marie, Sinead, Sean, Michael, Adrian,Kevin,Niall and Declan on the sudden and untimely passing of your beloved James. James was such an amazing person and it was a pleasure and honour to have known him. May James's gentle soul now rest in peace as he is now reunited with his beloved Dad. Our thoughts are with you all during this difficult time. Rest In Peace James.”

And: “Deepest sympathy to Jamesy's family and wide circle of friends. It was a pleasure to have gotten to know Jamesy while working alongside him at SK Biotek. You would struggle to find a nicer and more accommodating man. A huge loss. R.I.P. Brother”

While another mourner wrote: “I was deeply saddened to hear of James's passing. Having worked alongside him for many years, I can’t fully express how much his dedication, kindness, and the wisdom meant to everyone who worked alongside him. He will be greatly missed, and the void you leave behind is truly profound. My thoughts are with the McCarron family during this incredibly difficult time. Rest in peace James, and thank you for everything.”

And another added: “Sincere condolences to the McCarron family on the untimely passing of James. He was a lovely gentleman to meet in Tulfarris golf club. May He Rest In Peace.”

Reposing at his home on Wednesday March 12 from 4.00 pm to 8.00 pm. A Memorial Mass for James will be on Thursday March 13 at 11.00 am in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Ballymore Eustace, Co. Kildare.

The Funeral Cortege will continue to Listowel, Co. Kerry.

James will be reposing on Friday March 14 in Lyons Funeral Home, Derry, Listowel from 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm.

Requiem Mass for James will be celebrated on Saturday March 15 in St. Mary’s Church, Listowel arriving for 11.15 am, with Mass at 11.30 am followed by burial in Saint John Paul II Cemetery, Ballybunion Road, Listowel.
