'A great neighbour and friend' - Kildare community mourns loss of well loved local woman
Tributes have flooded in following the death of Bridget Acton (née Deering) of Courtown Road, Kilcock.
Bridget passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Tallaght Hospital on Tuesday, 18 February.
Many people have taken to share their fond memories of Bridget online as well as to express their deepest sympathies with her family.
From the many kind messages left following Bridget's passing, it is clear that the Kildare woman and her late husband Jack were well loved in their community of Kilcock. Many have described the pair as "fantastic neighbours and friends" throughout their years on Courtown Road.
Among the tributes, one person wrote: "So saddened to hear of Bridgie's passing. Have many fond memories of herself and Jack over the years. They were an amazing and adorable couple and always full of fun. May you now rest in the arms of Jack again."
Another said: "Always enjoyed the chat when we worked together in Leaf for many years, her warm and homely personality made her the lovely lady she was. May her gentle soul shine bright in the light of heaven."
Bridget will be reposing at William Ryan & Sons Funeral Home in Kilcock on Friday, 21 February from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral mass will take place at 10am on Saturday morning in St. Coca's Church, followed by burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
