A Costa Coffee outlet located in Maynooth was targeted by burglars, according to gardaí.
The incident was discussed by Garda Shane Smyth when he appeared on KFM this morning.
He said that the burglary took place at the outlet at around 1.17am on Friday, July 5 last.
"A sum of cash was stolen from the premises by two suspects," Gda Smyth added.
He concluded by calling for anyone with information to contact Maynooth Garda Station on 01 629 2380.
When asked by the Leinster Leader about the incident, a garda spokesperson had this to say: "Gardaí are investigating a burglary at a commercial premises in Maynooth, County Kildare that occurred after 1am on Friday, July 5, 2024.
"A sum of cash was reported as stolen."
The spokesperson concluded: "Investigations are ongoing."
