UPDATE: Extra storey sought for proposed apartment development located in North Kildare

A planning permission application is currently with Kildare County Council.

Another storey is being sought for a proposed apartment development located in North Kildare.

Back in January of 2023, the Leinster Leader reported that planning permission documents lodged with Kildare County Council  showed that Mulberry Properties Limited was seeking an extra storey for its development at The Paddocks, Station Road in Leixlip.

The development would consist of one additional storey to Apartment Blocks 1 and 2, increasing their heights from three-storey to four-storey.

The application at the time noted that this would provide nine additional units: consisting of two additional one-bed units and three additional two-bed units in Apartment Block 1, and two additional one-bed units and two additional two-bed units in Apartment Block 2.

Now, the company is seeking to change the development from two four-storey blocks to two five-storey blocks.

According to the application: "This will provide four additional apartments, consisting of two additional one-bed units and two additional two-bed units."

The date received is listed as July 3 last, while the submission-by and due dates are listed as August 6 and August 27 respectively.

The business information website SoloCheck.ie shows that Mulberry Properties Ltd is a construction company which was established in 2000.

It has an address listed as Charter House, 5 Pembroke Row, Dublin 2, County Dublin (D02 FW61).
