It was a night of major celebration at Moorefield GAA headquarters on Saturday night last when the club celebrated a magnificent year in 2013 with the senior footballers winning every domestic competition from the Aldridge Cup, to the Leinster Leader Cup and the Senior Football Championship and those were only a few of host of successes that were achieved at all levels in the club including Ladies Football and Camogie.
Guest of honour on the night was Micheal Ó Muircheartaigh and the popularity of the man was seen following the presentations as he was in big demand from all sections, young and not so young for photographs.
A special presentation was made to Ronan Sweeney to mark his retirement after fourteen years of playing with Kildare. ‘Roli’ will, of course continue playing with Moorefield, hopefully for many a year to come.
A most enjoyable night was had with celebrations going on into the early hours.
