Clogherinkoe GAA Awards night and Dinner Dance was held in the Hamlet Court Hotel, Johnstownbridge on Saturday 16th February with over 180 people in attendance.
After the three course meal the players were presented with their Kildare Junior ‘A’ Championship winning medals and a DVD of the final, by the special guest Micheál Ó’Muircheartaigh who had travelled from Killarney to make the presentation. The broadcasting legend had the attendance hanging on to his every word as he gave an inspirational speech on the importance of winning a county championship.
Micheál also made a special presenatation to the five Clogherinkoe players who won a Schools All-Ireland Senior Championship with St Mary’s, Secondary School, Edenderry in 2012.
The Club held a raffle on the night for the ‘Princess Leah fund’ and a total of e725 was raised. Thanks to the Kildare team for autographing jersey which went for as 1st prize and to The Hamlet Court Hotel for sponsoring the 2nd Prize for a meal for two in their Award winning ‘Sabayon’ restaurant ‘. Hugh thanks to all on the night for the great support shown and to Anna McCrossan, Claire Connolly and Laura Leech for selling tickets.
