Sarsfields booked their place in this year’s Joe Mallon Renault SFC final, and a date with town rivals Moorefield, following as comprehensive a five point victory over Confey as one could imagine.
John Crofton’s Sarsfields, holders and favourites, were impressive throughout against a very disapointing Confey side whose handling and overall play left a lot to be desired.
Sarsfields though with Ray Cahill, Ben McCormack and Alan Smith in flying form showed how formidable a side they are.
Final score: Sarsfields 1-14 Confey 1-9.
