'My Kildare Life' with Naas blogger Éadaoin Burke

Éadaoin Burke from Naas is making waves on the online scene

Éadaoin Burke (22) is an up-and-coming, award-winning online travel, fashion and lifestyle blogger, who has a following of just under 12,000 on Instagram, and over 3,500 likes on Facebook. In 2016, she won overall Blogger of the week at the Beauty Blog Awards.

WHAT IS YOUR FIRST KILDARE MEMORY?

My grandparents have the most beautiful house in Black Trench right in the heart of the countryside. I was lucky enough to grow up in a generation where we knew how to go out and keep ourselves busy in the garden, and not stuck in iPads! I had a childhood full of imagination, that's for sure.

DID YOU LIKE GROWING UP IN KILDARE?

I grew up in Black Trench and after finishing primary school in Caragh National School, I decided to go to St Mary's Convent in Naas where both my Grandad and Aunt were teaching. I was a very lucky child. Despite the fact my parents separated at an early age they gave me every opportunity they could.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE THING ABOUT THE COUNTY?

I have always said we have the best of both worlds in Kildare, we have the beautiful countryside which you can escape to as well as being in a great location for hitting up the shops, commuting to Dublin etc.

WHAT IS YOUR IDEAL DAY OUT IN KILDARE?

You know it really does depend. I am currently in my final year in Galway so right now it is heading home to spend time with my family. I love to travel so coming back home and just having some time to spend relaxing and catching up with everyone is absolute bliss. Coming up to Christmas I love to pop over to Kildare village and soak up all of the Christmassy atmosphere and of course look around the shops...their decorations are always worth checking out!

YOU DO A LOT OF TRAVELLING AS PART OF YOUR BLOG, WILL KILDARE ALWAYS BE YOUR HOME?

Of course Kildare will always be home to me, I am absolutely travel obsessed but I will always love coming home to my family in Kildare even if it is just for a visit.

FAVOURITE PLACE TO EAT?

Oh there is so many! My Mum and I have an absolute favourite which is the Lemongrass in Naas, the food is fab!
