An unlucky Ballinaglera lost out to their north Leitrim rivals Glencar/Manor by the narrowest of margins in an exciting GWP Intermediate championship game in almost summer-like weather conditions in Drumkeerin on Sunday.

‘Bridge girls make it three-in-a-row

Johnstownbridge notched up their third in a row Kildare Camogie Division 1 League titles when they defeated Celbridge, in what was ultimately an exciting final as, Celbridge fought back from a seemingly hopeless position to give the Bridge supporters some anxious moments towards the end.

WILLIE Sunderland was a relieved man when the full-time whistle sounded in Arklow last Saturday, with the Kildare manager admitting that he feared that his charges were going to miss out on a place in the Christy Ring Cup semi-finals after Wicklow had reeled in nine point deficit to restore parity two minutes from time.
