The scene captured by Rathangan Community Alert Body
The Newtown road out of Rathangan is closed after a traffic accident occurred just an hour ago.
Emergency services are at the scene outside Ryans pharmacy including the gardai, ambulance and fire service.
UPDATE: The road was reopened at 10pm. It's understood the accident occurred when two vehicles collided at New Street at around 8.10pm. The van flipped over. One of the occupants was taken to Naas hospital as a precaution. The road was closed to allow the emergency services to attend the scene and the gardai to clear the road.
