Nurney GAA's second Strictly Come Dancing took place on Saturday, March 5 in the Clanard Court Hotel in Athy.
The fundraiser consisted of 12 couples who put tremendous effort into making the night a great success. The past few weeks has seen a huge amount of activity in the Clubhouse as the dancers went through their paces.
The dedicated dancers managed to fit in lots of practice. The winners were Jamie Merrins and Shauna Sexton who stole the show dancing to ‘Wake Me Up’. They both put in enormous effort fundraising and won the hearts of the judges and audience being the only couple to get a standing ovation.
Runners up were father and daughter, David and Jade Bracken who danced to ‘Sax’ along with Gemma Merrins and Owen Fagan who danced to ‘Cheerleader’. This was yet another successful fundraiser for Nurney GAA club.
