Mable Lyons' 105th birthday celebration in Kill Village, Kildare
Pupils from Scoil Bhride NS Kill village assembled a guard of honour to greet and sing 105th ‘Happy Birthday’ for birthday girl, Mable Lyons from Kill, at the birthday party reception in her honour at the shop in Kill on Tuesday 17th February.

Mabel Lyons of Hartwell Stud, Kill, celebrated her 105th birthday this week with a big birthday party in her honour on Tuesday, 17th February in the village at the local Eurospar Shop with members of the staff and the children for the local Scoil Bhride NS and also a gathering of locals and friends.
A guard of honour by the schoolchildren greeted her and sang ‘Happy Birthday’ on her arrival.
She blew out the candles on a special birthday cake and was congratulated by local people at the reception in the shop.
She was one of the founders of the local branch of the ICA and was also active at County level. Her brother, Ernest Lyons won the Manx Grand Prix in the Isle of Man in 1946.
