Lorraine Keane brought her preloved boutique to Joe Mallon Motors and the women of Kildare came in their droves to support the sustainable, charitable initiative.
The exclusive Fashion Show, hosted by Keane, saw Assets models Sarah Morrissey, Yomiko Chen, Sarah McGovern and Corina Grant Doyle take to the runway with award-winning DJ Mo Kelly on the decks.
Joe Mallon Motors brand ambassador and Ireland Fittest Family Presenter Anna Geary, due baby number two in a matter of weeks, judged the Best Dressed competition and chose mother of three boys, Patricia Farrell, who wore a dress by Irish Designer FeeG.
Keane and her team returned on Saturday to allow those who didn’t get tickets to the Fashion Show to shop in the preloved Pop-Up. The event raised an impressive €10,430 for Breast Cancer Ireland.
“I’d like to thank the Mallon family for inviting me to bring Fashion Relief to their stunning showroom and for covering all the costs so that every cent we raised over the weekend goes to Breast Cancer Ireland”.
Fashion Relief, the pre-loved fashion boutique founded by Lorraine Keane to raise funds for Breast Cancer Ireland has raised over €500,000 in two years.
Fashion Relief has a permanent boutique in the Frascati Centre in Blackrock, Co. Dublin. They rely on the generosity of women to donate their unwanted clothes and accessories to the shop.
Lorraine Keane’s Fashion Relief for Breast Cancer Ireland then sells these high-end and high-street clothing, accessories, with 100% of the proceeds going to support breast cancer research, education, and clinical trials in Ireland.
“It’s guilt-free shopping ladies because when you are shopping in Fashion Relief you are shopping sustainably and for charity so you are saving people and planet”, says Keane.
Breast Cancer Ireland is a registered charity, established to raise significant funding to support pioneering research programmes nationally, as well as to promote education and awareness on the importance of good breast health amongst women of all ages.
Their vision is to transform breast cancer from sometimes being a fatal disease into a treatable illness for all and their mission is to speed up research discovery output so as to affect better and more positive treatment options for patients.
“Unfortunately, all of us have been touched by breast cancer in some way, shape or form, so I am so grateful to Joe Mallon Motors for inviting me to bring Fashion Relief to Naas to raise much needed funds for Breast Cancer Ireland”, said Keane.
Clothing and accessory donations can be made to a special drop off area at Joe Mallon Motors in Naas and to the boutique in the Frascati Centre in Blackrock, Dublin with Fashion Relief accepting high street and high end clothing and accessory items in very good condition.
