PHOTOS: Flooding hits Liffey Linear Park in Newbridge, County Kildare

Newbridge's very own Liffey Linear Park has been struck by flooding, with further rainfall forecast for tomorrow afternoon and evening.

Although none of the footpaths were directly affected by the flooding, a number of areas (many of which are easily-accessible to the public, paricularly dog walkers) were completely enveloped by water.

The flooding is the result of heavy rainfall caused by Storm Babet, which is currently causing issues for those residing in counties such as Cork, Kilkenny, Wexford and Waterford.

All photographs were taken by Ciarán Mather.
