Brilliant Naas blow Eadestown away in the second half

After close opening half Naas pull clear in second half
Naas turned on the style big-time at Cedral St Conleth’s Park this afternoon, defeating Eadestown 4-21 to 1-14. However few could have predicted that end result after an opening half that saw Eadestown put it up big time to the hot favourites.
The opening half saw the lead change no less than six times and level on four occasions as scores came thick and fast.
Eadestown opened the scoring through Conan Boran and Euan Cowzer equalised soon after.
A brilliant Jack Sargent two-pointer edged Eadestown ahead but Cowzer had them level again.
Eadestown opened a three point lead but Naas answered back with an excellent David Hanafin to level it up on fifteen minutes.
Again the boys in blue hit back with a brilliant free from Ben Fitzsimons but that was answered with a break-away goal saw Darragh Kirwan carry the ball from the half-way line before buying it in the back of Charlie Carroll’s net.
Eadestown responded with another two-pointer, this time from Ben Fitzsimons but Naas finished the half strong with an Alex Beirne free and a lovely Darragh Kirwan effort that saw Naas lead at the break 2-8 to 0-11.
While Eadestown got the opening score of the second half did we realise what was to come from Naas as they opened up big time, hitting no less than 2-13 against Eadestown’s 1-2.
The Naas goals came from Diaran Doyle and Jack McKevitt while Ben Fitzsimons converted a penalty for Emmet Bolton’s side.
On this display Naas are coming to the boil it would seem at just the right time with Darragh Kirwan putting on a brilliant display hitting 1-7.
