'Your future is so bright'- Young Kildare mum graduates course with flying colours

A young Kildare mother Kelly Mooney has graduated with an incredible seven As after completing a Hairdressing Apprenticeship.

23-year-old Kelly was only supposed to work four weeks at Craft Hairdressers in Sallins, Co. Kildare but ended up becoming a valuable member of the team.

During this time, Kelly also became a mother to a beautiful little girl called Arabella who has kept her extra busy while working towards getting her qualifications and working at the hairdressers.

Craft Hairdressers in Sallins created a heart warming post to their social media to congratulate Kelly and share their gratitude towards her.

The post said: “To say I’m proud of Kelly is an understatement. Today, Kelly graduated from with an incredible seven As. When Kelly first started at Craft, she was only meant to be with us for four weeks to help out in the run up to Christmas”.

Kelly then stayed on as an assistant and the following December, the opportunity came up for Kelly to begin her Hairdressing Apprenticeship course.

That August, Kelly then welcomed her beautiful little girl, Arabella into the world — her pride and joy, the post said.

“When it came time for Kelly to return to work, we realised attending college alongside work and motherhood just wasn’t going to be possible. Working three days a week while raising a new baby meant we had to come up with a new plan for Kelly to complete her training,” the Kildare hairdressers said.

“And she did exactly that. Kelly committed herself fully to her training while balancing work, motherhood, and everything in between. She worked tirelessly, stayed determined, and absolutely excelled — all while being an amazing mammy to Arabella”.

Arabella now turns three this August marking nearly three years of motherhood for Kelly while also achieving her goals at the same time. She is a great example that determination and hard work pays off.

“Kelly, you are the most amazing young lady, and you should be so proud of everything you have achieved and accomplished. You are an incredible hairdresser, and your future is so bright,” Craft Hairdressers said.

The social media post has received a lot of positive feedback from customers of the hairdressers who congratulated the young woman on her recent achievement.

One person said: “ Always a pleasure to have any interaction with Kelly in the salon, she’s a fabulous young lady. Congratulations Kelly”.

Another person said: “ Aw well done Kelly, you should be so proud of yourself. Absolutely delighted for you”.
