The Kildare Big C choir are holding a fundraising concert at the Westgrove Hotel in Clane on Friday, April 27.
Money raised will to go towards the burns unit at Our Lady's Hospital Crumlin and the Little Way Cancer Support Centre in Clane.
The Kildare Big C Choir which mainly consists of cancer survivors and the family members of those affected by cancer and other serious illnesses. To date the choir has raised €45,167 for several charities, hospitals and community groups.
The concert on April 27 will be hosted on the night by KFM’s Ciara Plunkett and Liam Kett, with a raffle as well as music and entertainment to be provided by Kildare musicians including Bernie Heany, Edel and Des Marron, Sabina Reddy, Mary Touhy and the Kelly brothers Pat, John and Joe.
The choir rehearses every Tuesday from 8pm to 9:30pm at Tougher's Restaurant in Newbridge. “Many thanks to the staff and proprietor of Tougher's in allowing the choir to practice there” said Sabina. “For those who may be interested in joining the choir or finding out more on how to help out, call Mary on 085 727 9801”.
Tickets to the concert, at €15 each, are available from the Westgrove Hotel reception, Marron’s Pharmacy in Clane or from Mary on 085 7279801.
