It will be staged at the Riverbank this Friday night, November 18.

This concert features performers whose relatives played a role in the Easter Rising. Performers include brothers Eoin (uileann pipes), Noel (concertina) and Dermot Kenny (accordion), mandolin player Frank Cullen and original songs written to commemorate the 1916 Rising from Fergus Russell, Brendan Devereux and Aileen Lambert.

The project is devised and produced by Michael Fortune and Aileen Lambert and is supported by Kildare County Council’s Arts Department and the Kildare County Council’s Decade of Commemorations Committee. A must for lovers of traditional music and song – a unique concert celebrating the rich cultural legacy of Irish traditional music and song.
