Late scoring burst too much for 13 man Balyna

Twoers take Minor B title at second attempt

Round Towers made no mistake at the second time of asking as they defeated Balyna in the Manguard Plus Minor 'B' Fooball at St Conleth's Park, Newbridge, this afternoon, albeit by a somewhat flattering seven points.

Towers led by two at the break but within minutes of the resumption the sides were level and with eight minutes remaining on the clock in black and amber held a one point lead but that was as close as Blayna got as after losing two players to yellow cards they conceded 1-3 in the final eight minutes of the game with Towers winning on a final score line of 1-14 to0-10.
